Abstract: Monitoring Land Administration Systems (MLAS) project is focused on developing a methodology for monitoring land administration systems, as well as a catalogue of indicators that can be used to collect, analyze, and report data related to land administration. The project team consists of a project leader and three research associates, organized into five work packages, collaboratively working on the development of an efficient and sustainable land administration system monitoring framework. The main objectives of the project include developing a methodology for implementing land administration system monitoring, creating a comprehensive catalogue of indicators to enable the evaluation of the efficiency and sustainability of land administration, and establishing a database that will support the structured collection and analysis of data. Particular emphasis is placed on the development of a prototype reporting system to be generated at the level of any administrative unit, thereby enabling the monitoring of changes and informed decision-making regardless of the hierarchy of administrative units. The project contributes to the establishment of an information framework that connects the public sector, academia, and industry, thereby creating a foundation for the sustainable, informed, and coordinated development of land administration systems.
Project objective:
The main objective of the project is to develop a monitoring system for the land administration system, reflected in four individual objectives that together form a coherent framework:
1. Development of a methodology for monitoring the land administration system.
2. Preparation of a catalogue of indicators for monitoring the land administration system.
3. Development of a database for the purposes of monitoring the land administration system.
4. Development of a prototype report for monitoring the land administration system at the level of an administrative unit.
