We are pleased to announce that two Master’s theses related to the monitoring of land administration systems were successfully defended at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Geodesy under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Josip Križanović, PhD.

The defended theses are:

Rubić, M. (2026): Monitoring of Land Administration System in Municipality of Podstrana, mentor: Assist. Prof. Josip Križanović, PhD, University of Zagreb Faculty of Geodesy, Zagreb, Croatia.

Pivčević, F. (2026): Monitoring of Land Administration System in Cadastral Municipality of Omiš, mentor: Assist. Prof. Josip Križanović, PhD, University of Zagreb Faculty of Geodesy, Zagreb, Croatia.

The successful defence of these theses represents an important contribution to the project activities and supports further research in the field of land administration system monitoring.

The 8th Croatian Congress on Cadastre was successfully held in Zagreb, bringing together experts, researchers, and professionals in the fields of cadastre, land administration, geodesy, and spatial data management.

Members of the project team actively contributed to the Congress through their roles in the Scientific Committee and through the presentation of research results. Two papers prepared within the framework of the project were presented:

The successful completion of the Congress confirms the importance of continuous scientific and professional exchange in the development of cadastre and land administration.

The 8th Croatian Congress on Cadastre brings together experts, researchers, and professionals in the fields of cadastre, land administration, geodesy, and spatial data management.

We are pleased to highlight the important role of our project team members in the Scientific Committee of the Congress. The project leader, Prof. Miodrag Roić, serves as President of the Scientific Committee, while Assistant Professor Josip Križanović serves as Deputy President of the Scientific Committee.

The remaining members of the project team, Professor Emeritus Zdravko Kapović and Senior Assistant Doris Pivac, also contribute to the work of the Scientific Committee as its members.

Their involvement in the Scientific Committee reflects the active contribution of the project team to the development of scientific and professional discussion in the fields of cadastre, land administration, and sustainable spatial management.

The 8th Croatian Congress on Cadastre represents an important platform for the exchange of knowledge, experience, and new approaches, as well as for strengthening cooperation between academia, public administration, and professional practice.

We are pleased to announce the start of our new project focused on developing a monitoring system for the land administration system.

The main objective of the project is to establish a coherent framework for monitoring land administration through the development of a monitoring methodology, a catalogue of indicators, a dedicated database, and a prototype report at the level of an administrative unit.

Through this project, we aim to contribute to more transparent, data-driven, and effective land administration, supporting better decision-making and improved management of land-related processes.

We look forward to the activities ahead and to sharing the project results as they develop.
